About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Sales & Business Development Manager to drive business growth and expand our presence within the freight forwarding and logistics industry. The role requires a highly motivated professional with a strong understanding of logistics services, proven business development capabilities, and an established network within the Delhi NCR market.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, generating revenue, and contributing to the overall growth objectives of the organization. This position is ideal for professionals who have a strong track record in logistics sales and are confident in engaging with key decision-makers across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across multiple industry segments.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through market research, networking, referrals, and direct client engagement.
• Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and business discussions to understand customer requirements and propose suitable logistics solutions.
• Develop long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders to ensure repeat business and customer retention.
• Generate consistent revenue through effective business development and account management strategies.
• Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, pricing structures, and service agreements in coordination with internal teams.
• Negotiate commercial terms and close business opportunities while maintaining profitability objectives.
• Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of client requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, business opportunities, client interactions, and revenue forecasts.
• Monitor industry trends, market developments, competitor activities, and customer requirements to
identify growth opportunities.
• Represent the organization at industry events, trade meetings, networking forums, and business development initiatives whenever required.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing timely support and maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Support management in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual business objectives.
Required Experience & Qualifications
• 4–8 years of experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related Business Development and Sales functions.
• Proven experience in client acquisition, business development, and revenue generation.
• Strong understanding of logistics operations, freight forwarding services, supply chain solutions, and customer requirements.
• Experience handling corporate clients and managing end-to-end business development activities.
• Ability to independently generate leads, conduct meetings, negotiate commercial terms, and close business opportunities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email communication, and CRM systems.
Preferred Candidate Profile
• Strong professional network within the freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, and trade ecosystem across Delhi NCR.
• Established relationships with business owners, procurement teams, supply chain professionals, logistics decision-makers, and industry stakeholders.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
• Self-driven, commercially focused, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong market knowledge and ability to identify opportunities for long-term business expansion.
Additional Information
• This is a field-oriented role involving regular client meetings and business development activities.
• Candidate must possess a personal vehicle (Bike or Car) for local travel.
• Parking facility available at the office.
• Candidates with stable employment history and a strong record of business development achievements will be preferred.
