Company Description KCAT ENZYMATIC PRIVATE LIMITED (Kcat Enzymatic) is an enzyme and protein engineering company focused on delivering optimized enzymes tailored to client applications. The team is composed of computational chemists and biologists who use molecular dynamics and quantum mechanics simulations to study bio-catalytic reactions at atomic and electronic levels. By capturing transient reaction states, they apply proprietary algorithms to design targeted enzyme libraries with specific desired properties. These computational designs are validated in the laboratory through mutagenesis, protein purification, and biochemical assays to assess activity and kinetics. Clients receive tangible enzyme samples that are engineered to perform according to defined technical and commercial requirements.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Executive role based in Bengaluru. The Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining a strong pipeline of clients in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and related sectors, and actively closing deals for enzyme engineering services and products. Day-to-day activities include conducting client meetings and presentations, understanding technical requirements in collaboration with scientific teams, preparing and delivering proposals and quotations, and negotiating terms in line with company guidelines. The role also involves managing key accounts, tracking sales performance and forecasts, maintaining accurate CRM records, and providing regular market and competitor feedback to internal stakeholders. The Sales Executive will work closely with marketing and technical teams to support campaigns, participate in relevant industry events, and ensure an excellent customer experience from first contact through post-sale support.
Qualifications
  • Strong B2B sales skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, pipeline management, and deal closing in technical or scientific domains.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical information, ideally related to enzymes, biotechnology, or life sciences, in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Proficiency in relationship-building, account management, and customer service, with a focus on long-term partnerships and repeat business.
  • Competence with CRM tools, sales reporting, and basic MS Office or similar productivity software for proposals, presentations, and tracking metrics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional regional language skills are an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • Prior experience in technical sales, scientific services sales, or related business development roles is strongly preferred.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven approach with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and industry events as required.
