About ZapScholar
ZapScholar is a digital learning platform focused on building practical, job-ready digital marketing skills.
Instead of relying only on classroom theory, ZapScholar focuses on hands-on learning, real-world projects, business challenges, and practical industry exposure. Our programs are designed to help learners develop skills they can apply directly in startups, businesses, agencies, and modern marketing teams.
We are building a learning environment for people who want to learn by doing, build real skills, and become valuable in the workplace.
About the Role
We are looking for a Sales Executive who can take ownership of the learner enrollment journey—from the first conversation with a prospective learner to final enrollment.
You will speak with students, graduates, working professionals, and aspiring entrepreneurs who are interested in digital marketing and career growth. Your responsibility will be to understand their goals, explain the right ZapScholar program, handle questions and objections, conduct follow-ups, and convert qualified prospects into enrolled learners.
This is a hands-on sales role, not just a calling position.
You will work closely with the Marketing and Training teams to understand lead quality, learner requirements, objections, and market demand, and help improve the overall learner acquisition process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Management & Prospecting
- Contact and qualify leads generated through marketing campaigns, referrals, events, and other channels.
- Understand each prospect's career goals, experience, interests, and learning requirements.
- Maintain an organized pipeline of prospective learners.
- Identify high-intent prospects and prioritize follow-ups accordingly.
2. Sales & Conversions
- Conduct sales calls and consultations with prospective learners.
- Clearly explain ZapScholar's programs, learning methodology, projects, outcomes, and value proposition.
- Conduct online or in-person program demonstrations and counseling sessions.
- Handle questions, concerns, and objections professionally.
- Follow up consistently with interested prospects and move them through the enrollment funnel.
- Convert qualified prospects into paid enrollments while maintaining a consultative approach.
3. Learner Counseling
- Understand what the learner is trying to achieve before recommending a program.
- Help prospects evaluate whether ZapScholar is the right fit for their goals.
- Provide accurate information about programs, schedules, fees, learning structure, and enrollment process.
- Ensure that learners enter the program with clear expectations.
4. CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate lead and prospect records in the CRM or designated sales-tracking system.
- Track calls, follow-ups, meetings, objections, conversions, and lead status.
- Provide regular updates on pipeline, conversions, and pending opportunities.
- Maintain disciplined follow-up schedules.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with the Marketing team to improve lead quality and campaign performance.
- Share recurring objections, learner questions, and market feedback.
- Coordinate with the Training team when prospects require deeper information about the learning experience.
- Contribute ideas to improve the sales and enrollment process.
Key Performance Areas
Success in this role will be measured through:
- Qualified leads contacted
- Calls and consultations conducted
- Follow-up completion
- Lead-to-enrollment conversion rate
- Number of enrollments
- Revenue generated
- Pipeline management and CRM discipline
- Learner experience and quality of counseling
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Confident and comfortable speaking with new people.
- Persuasive without being overly aggressive.
- Strong at listening, understanding needs, and explaining solutions.
- Comfortable making sales calls and following up repeatedly.
- Organized enough to manage multiple prospects simultaneously.
- Target-oriented and motivated by measurable results.
- Interested in digital marketing, startups, business, sales, or education.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Willing to learn, experiment, and improve their sales approach.
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- 1-2 years of experience
- Basic sales and negotiation ability.
- Ability to conduct prospecting, follow-ups, and sales conversations.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing or willingness to learn.
- Ability to work from our Kukatpalli location as required.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Google Workspace or similar tools.
Preferred:
- 1–2 years of experience in sales, inside sales, business development, education counseling, admissions, or customer-facing roles.
- Experience using a CRM or lead-tracking system.
- Previous experience selling courses, education, SaaS, services, or other consultative products.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Freshers: Candidates without prior sales experience can apply if they demonstrate strong communication, confidence, learning ability, and a genuine interest in sales.
What You'll Get
- Hands-on experience in EdTech, digital marketing, and startup sales.
- Opportunity to work directly with the founding and growth team.
- Exposure to the complete learner acquisition and sales funnel.
- Practical experience with lead generation, sales calls, CRM, conversions, and customer psychology.
- Performance-based growth opportunities.
- Opportunity to develop into a larger sales, business development, or growth role based on performance.
Important
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys talking to people, understanding their problems, selling a valuable solution, and being accountable for results.
If you are looking for a role where you simply make calls from a script, this may not be the right position.
If you want to learn real startup sales while helping people build practical digital marketing careers, we'd like to hear from you.
