Company Description MGL Group is a multidisciplinary services firm specializing in precast drafting, mechanical drafting, and accounting support for clients across Australia and internationally. The company provides architectural, structural, and precast concrete detailing through a team of experienced engineers and drafters who deliver accurate, timely, and cost-effective shop drawings. Its mechanical drafting team brings years of experience in the oil, gas, mining, and aerospace sectors, working primarily with SolidWorks and other leading software. MGL Group also partners with accounting firms in Perth and Melbourne and is expanding into the UK, offering bookkeeping and tax preparation services across multiple accounting platforms. The organization emphasizes quality, reliable communication, competitive rates, and on-time delivery for all engagements.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad for a Sales Executive / Business Development Executive in the Australian Accounting Division. The role focuses on identifying, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities with accounting firms in Australia, and supporting expansion into other markets as needed. Daily activities include researching potential clients, making outbound calls and emails, scheduling and conducting sales presentations or virtual demos, and building strong, consultative relationships with decision-makers. The position requires preparing proposals and quotations, coordinating with internal accounting and operations teams to align services with client needs, and ensuring accurate documentation of leads, opportunities, and activities in the CRM system. The individual will also track sales targets, provide regular pipeline and performance reports, gather client feedback, and contribute ideas to improve service offerings and sales processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, prospecting, and managing the full sales cycle for B2B services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with confident phone, email, and virtual meeting etiquette, and the capacity to build long-term client relationships.
  • Solid understanding of accounting or financial services, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn accounting workflows, terminology, and software.
  • Proficiency with productivity and CRM tools (e.g., Excel, Google Workspace, CRM platforms) to manage pipelines, track activities, and generate reports.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple opportunities and meet sales targets.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior experience selling professional services to international clients, particularly in Australia or other English-speaking markets, is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work in time zones aligned with Australian business hours, and openness to continuous learning about accounting practices and regulations.
