Position:- Sales Manager

Location:- Nariman Point, Mumbai

Qualification:- B.E. / B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering

Experience :- 7+ years in Technical or Industrial Sales

Salary:- Up to 10.00 LPA

Key Responsibilities:-

  1. Sales Strategy & Business Development

Drive sales growth for cable grips across the identified industry sectors

Identify and develop new customers, applications, and industry segments to expand business

reach.

Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to develop and

implement effective sales plans.

Contribute to the annual sales forecast and business plan for the product line.

2.Customer Relationship Management

Develop, nurture, and maintain strong long-term relationships with existing clients.

Engage with key decision-makers purchase, design, and maintenance teams to

understand requirements and ensure alignment with customer needs.

Conduct periodic customer reviews to evaluate satisfaction levels and identify growth

opportunities.

3. Technical Sales & Solutioning

Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and requirements to recommend appropriate

cable grip solutions.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to design customized solutions when

required.

Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to ensure product performance and reliability.

Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and technical presentations for

customers.

4. Quotation Management & Commercial Execution

Prepare accurate and competitive techno-commercial quotations.

Negotiate terms and close orders in line with business profitability targets.

Coordinate with internal departments (design, procurement, production, logistics) to ensure

on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Track order status, dispatch, and payment collections to ensure healthy cash flow.

5. Reporting & Performance Tracking

Maintain regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, customer feedback, and market

intelligence.

Prepare monthly MIS and submit sales forecasts, visit reports, and competitor analyses.

Review sales performance against targets and initiate corrective actions where necessary.

6. Stakeholder & Team Management

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, and Accounts

to ensure smooth order execution and customer fulfillment.

Work with the Marketing and Product Management teams to provide market intelligence,

support product positioning, and align go-to-market strategies.

Guide, mentor, and support junior sales executives or coordinators to enhance their

technical and sales capabilities.

Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across internal

and external stakeholders to achieve business goals efficiently.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong technical comprehension and ability to interpret mechanical drawings/specifications.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Business acumen and strategic selling approach.

Customer-centric mindset with problem-solving attitude.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools.

Ability to travel frequently across customer locations.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).

Experience: 812 years of experience in technical or industrial sales

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building long-term client relationships.
