Job Title: Sales Engineer (Process Instrumentation)

Location: Chennai (Tamil Nadu)

Experience: 24 Years

Salary: 4 to 5 LPA (as per qualification)

Qualification: B. Tech / B.E. in Electronics, Telecommunication, Instrumentation, or related field

B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Electronics or similar technical discipline

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Sales Engineer to drive sales of analytical systems such as gas detection systems, gas analyzers, and other portable/industrial instruments within South region (based in Chennai). The ideal candidate must possess strong technical understanding combined with solid commercial skills, be comfortable with extensive travel, and confidently engage with customers at multiple levels. The selected candidate will receive structured traininginitially on the job and subsequently through our technical principalsto ensure complete product and applications knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell gas detectors, gas analyzers, and portable instruments in the southern India
  • Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities
  • Manage the entire sales cyclefrom lead generation to deal closure
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to align solutions with customer requirements
  • Prepare and deliver detailed technical presentations tailored to customer needs
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and channel partners
  • Offer consistent post-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with logistics and service teams to ensure on-time delivery and smooth installation
  • Support the technical team during on-site installation and trial activities as well as assist in resolving post-sales issues related to installation, commissioning, or performance
  • Secure and renew purchase orders through continuous follow-up and customer engagement
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and contribute to overall business planning
  • Provide customer and market feedback to R&D for new product enhancements
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends
  • Understand and apply commercial terms, procedures, and pricing structures

Desired Skills & Competencies

B. Tech / B.E. in Electronics, Telecommunication, Instrumentation, or related field OR B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Electronics or similar technical discipline

  • Strong orientation toward achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to interact professionally with both technical teams and senior-level management
  • Strong ability to understand application needs and deliver customized technical solutions
  • Highly proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently
  • Willingness to travel extensively
