Job Description:

Summary: The Sales Engineer will be responsible for delivering technically sound and value-engineered foundation and shoring solutions to clients within the infrastructure and construction industry. The role requires close coordination with internal teams including design, production, purchasing, quality, and management to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

The candidate will also play a key role in business development, market analysis, client relationship management, and achieving annual sales targets.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with Structural Consultants, Architects, Civil Contractors, and Piling Contractors

• Visit project sites and engage with clients during the initial stages of projects

• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical and commercial solutions

• Support customers with design-related inputs for infrastructure, construction, and piling projects

• Prepare quotations, negotiate tenders, and finalize contracts

• Coordinate internally to ensure smooth project execution and follow-up activities

• Develop and strengthen long-term relationships with customers and suppliers

• Identify and generate new business opportunities across Eastern India

• Increase market share and monitor upcoming infrastructure projects

• Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis

• Promote technical solutions and company products as per customer requirements

• Provide effective after-sales support and resolve client concerns promptly

• Achieve annual sales and business development targets

Additional Responsibilities:

• Follow up on payment status in coordination with the Accounts team

• Maintain and update sales databases and MIS reports

• Provide regular updates to management regarding sales and project activities

Knowledge & Skills Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering

• MBA will be an added advantage

• 5–8 years of relevant industry experience

• Minimum 3+ years of sales experience in infrastructure or construction-related solutions

• Strong technical understanding with sound business acumen • Proficiency in MS Word and MS PowerPoint

• Ability to learn and work with design-related software

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills

• Independent, proactive, and customer-focused approach

• Fluency in English and Hindi; knowledge of Bengali or other regional languages will be an added advantage

• Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn

• Strong commercial mindset with negotiation skills

Key Requirements:

• Strong network with Structural Consultants, Design Engineers, and Geotechnical Consultants

• Existing relationships with Civil Contractors and EPC companies

• Exposure to government departments and infrastructure-related projects

• Experience in shoring systems, soil nailing, anchors, and I-Rod solutions will be an added advantage

• Willingness to travel extensively across Eastern India
