Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role in industrial automation based in Ahmedabad. The Sales Engineer will identify and qualify new business opportunities, conduct client visits, and present industrial automation solutions that align with customer requirements. Daily tasks include preparing and delivering technical and commercial proposals, conducting product demonstrations, and collaborating with internal technical teams to design appropriate solutions. The role involves providing pre- and post-sales technical support, addressing customer queries, and coordinating with vendors or partners as needed. The Sales Engineer will also maintain accurate records in the sales pipeline, prepare regular reports, and contribute feedback to improve products and services.
Qualifications

  • Strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills, with the ability to understand industrial automation systems and translate technical features into business value.
  • Proficiency in Sales and Customer Service, including lead generation, opportunity management, negotiation, and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in industrial automation, instrumentation, or related engineering fields is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or related discipline) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and travel to customer sites within the region as required.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, drives, sensors, or other automation products is an advantage.
  • Comfort using CRM tools, productivity software, and basic reporting to track activities and results.
