Position details
- Position: Sales Engineer
- Number of openings: Two
- Location: On-site, Saki Naka, Mumbai
- Working days: Full-time, Monday to Saturday
- Compensation: Fixed salary plus an incentive on machine value sold. Outstation travel reimbursed at actuals.

Education and experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- We welcome both freshers and candidates with two to three years of experience in B2B sales of industrial goods or machinery.
Role description
As a Sales Engineer, you will drive our day-to-day sales: identify and engage prospective customers, understand their packaging and adhesive dispensing needs, and propose appropriate hot-melt and cartoning solutions. Responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with end customers, agents, distributors, and consultants, and achieving sales targets. You will visit customers, run product demonstrations, prepare technical and commercial proposals and contracts, coordinate deliveries, and work with our internal teams to keep customers satisfied, and build long-term, trust-based relationships with key accounts. You will also represent us at exhibitions and trade fairs and feed market insight back to the business.
Detailed responsibilities
- Proactively drive the daily sales activities of the company.
- Manage relationships with end customers, agents, distributors, and consultants.
- Identify and develop new customer channels, including consultants, agents, and distributors.
- Make regular visits to customers and agents for business development and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with management, distributors, and agents to ensure smooth operations.
- Represent the company at exhibitions and trade fairs in India and abroad.
- Assist with system installations and provide minor servicing when required.
- Continuously build your knowledge of our existing and new products.
- Track competitor activity and report insights for strategic planning.
- Deliver on individual and team sales performance.
- Maintain sales reports as required.
Skills and attributes
- Strong Sales Engineering skills, including understanding of packaging machinery, hot-melt equipment, and application-based solution selling.
- Experience in Sales and business development, including lead generation, negotiation, and closing industrial or B2B deals.
- Technical Support capabilities to assist with product selection, basic troubleshooting, installation coordination, and after-sales follow-up.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, present solutions clearly, and maintain professional long-term client relationships.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Strong technical aptitude and quick learning.
- Goal-oriented, results-driven mindset.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable across different industries and customer types.
- Prior experience in packaging machinery, industrial automation, or capital equipment sales is highly advantageous.
- Comfort with on-site visits, demonstrations at customer locations, and occasional travel as required.
- Proficiency with MS Office and basic CRM or sales tracking tools; ability to prepare clear proposals and reports.

The honest details, so we both save time
- This is a Mumbai-based, on-site role. It is not remote or relocate.
- Full-time, Monday to Saturday, at our Saki Naka office.
- Expect around 5 to 7 days a month of travel across India to meet customers.
- This is field sales of industrial machinery. If you are looking for a desk or software-sales role, this is not it.
