Role Description The Sales Engineer role at BII Formtek Pvt Ltd is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Sales Engineer will engage with clients in the construction sector to understand project requirements, propose appropriate formwork and safety solutions, and prepare technical and commercial offers. Daily responsibilities include conducting site visits, delivering product demonstrations, providing pre- and post-sales technical support, and coordinating with internal engineering and operations teams to ensure successful implementation. The role involves managing sales pipelines, following up on leads, maintaining strong customer relationships, and gathering market feedback to support product and service improvements. The Sales Engineer is expected to maintain accurate documentation, contribute to tenders and proposals, and represent the company at meetings, presentations, and industry events.
Qualifications
- Candidate should possess strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills to interpret technical requirements, configure solutions, and assist clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Candidate should possess effective Sales and Customer Service skills to drive business development, manage accounts, and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with stakeholders.
- Candidate should possess clear and professional Communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts, prepare documentation, and present solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Candidate should ideally have knowledge of construction or civil engineering domains, including familiarity with formwork, scaffolding, or related safety systems.
- Candidate should hold a relevant diploma or degree in engineering (civil or mechanical preferred) or an equivalent technical qualification, with prior field or site exposure considered an advantage.
