We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Sales Engineer to drive sales of industrial and professional 3D printing solutions across the Mumbai region. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical understanding with consultative selling skills to identify customer needs, demonstrate additive manufacturing solutions, and develop long-term business relationships across manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, education, healthcare, tooling, and engineering sectors.
Sales & Business Development
- Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities within assigned territories.
- Generate leads through direct outreach, industry networking, exhibitions, referrals, and channel partners.
- Conduct customer meetings to understand manufacturing challenges and propose suitable 3D printing solutions.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare and present commercial proposals, quotations, and technical presentations.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and regularly update CRM systems.
Technical Consulting
- Demonstrate 3D printers, materials, and additive manufacturing workflows to prospective customers.
- Evaluate customer applications and recommend appropriate technologies, materials, and solutions.
- Collaborate with application engineers to conduct sample printing, feasibility studies, and proof-of-concept projects.
- Provide technical support during pre-sales discussions and customer evaluations.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, engineering teams, procurement departments, and business leaders.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely follow-up and support.
- Coordinate with service and technical teams for successful installation and post-sales support.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in additive manufacturing.
- Gather customer feedback and provide insights to management for business growth strategies.
- Represent the company at trade shows, seminars, technical workshops, and industry events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline.
- 2–8 years of experience in technical sales, industrial equipment sales, automation, CAD/CAM solutions, machine tools, or additive manufacturing.
- Experience in 3D printing, rapid prototyping, industrial machinery, or engineering solutions is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering applications.
- Knowledge of 3D printing technologies such as FDM, SLA, SLS, DLP, MJF, or metal additive manufacturing is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications.
