We work with digital-first businesses to solve complex product engineering challenges using our proprietary AI-driven product engineering model. Our services — Launch, Amplify, Catalyse, and Control — help shape robust, intelligent, and scalable products across web, mobile, TV, and IoT platforms.

We're hiring a senior sales leader focused on bringing in new business.

The Role

We're looking for a Sales Director with leadership experience in recruitment, staffing, or IT services companies to bring in new business for Wednesday. You'll own full deal cycles — from first conversation through contract close — with a focus on large engagements.

This is a senior individual contributor role. You'll personally carry a number and close deals.

Responsibilities
  • Own new business acquisition end-to-end — from qualification through contract close.
  • Land large engagement contracts, including 50+ person team deals.
  • Navigate conversations with CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Heads of Product, and CHROs.
  • Partner with delivery and leadership on scoping, proposals, and pricing.
  • Maintain a structured pipeline with honest forecasting leadership can plan against.
  • Represent Wednesday credibly to senior buyers.
  • Deliver consistently against quota.

Requirements
  • 8–12 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role at a recruitment, staffing, or IT services company.
  • Proven track record of closing large engagement contracts, including 50+ person team deals.
  • Experience selling to CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Product, and CHRO personas.
  • Consistent quota attainment in a quota-carrying role.
  • Strong command of the full sales cycle — qualification, discovery, proposal, negotiation, close.
  • Clear and structured communicator, written and verbal.
