Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Director to lead business growth for Meridian Data Labs flagship platforms, including Honeycomb (IoT) and Buzz AI. The role involves driving strategic sales initiatives, expanding the customer base across defence, public sector, and enterprise domains, and delivering revenue targets through consultative and solution-driven selling.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
• Drive end-to-end sales lifecycle from lead generation to deal closure.
• Achieve and exceed revenue targets across IoT and AI solutions.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in defence, PSU, and enterprise sectors.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Lead client presentations, solution demonstrations, and proposal discussions.
• Act as a trusted advisor for customers on digital transformation initiatives.
Solution Selling
• Understand customer requirements and map them to Honeycomb IoT and Buzz AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design tailored solutions.
• Drive proposal creation, RFP/RFI responses, and bid submissions.
Strategic Planning
• Develop go-to-market strategies for target industries.
• Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs.
• Contribute to product positioning and pricing strategies.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
• Work closely with pre-sales, engineering, and delivery teams.
• Ensure seamless handover from sales to delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology / Business.
• MBA preferred.
Experience
• 5–8 years in B2B sales, preferably in IoT, AI, SaaS, or enterprise solutions.
• Experience in handling government / defence / PSU clients is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Technical & Domain Skills
• Understanding of IoT platforms, cloud, and data analytics.
• Familiarity with AI/ML solutions and digital transformation trends.
• Experience in solution-based selling and consultative sales.
