Role Description

This Sales Development Representative (SDR) role is remote, with a preference for candidates based in Chennai.

You will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads, engaging prospective clients, and driving early-stage business conversations. This includes outbound outreach, nurturing relationships, and ensuring only high-quality, relevant opportunities move forward.

You will be reaching out to prospects on behalf of Sivakumar Anirudhan, author of The Rising Business Emperor and founder of ExecutionZ.

This is not a typical SDR role.

You are not here only to book meetings. You are here to build and nurture a pipeline that converts into long-term business relationships.

Every conversation you start has the potential to become a multi-year engagement across operations, sales systems, and technology.

What You'll Do

You will own the top-of-funnel engine end-to-end:

  • Identify and define the Ideal Customer Profile across target segments
  • Build and manage high-quality prospect lists using outbound tools
  • Do deep research before outreach, every message must be contextual
  • Run structured multi-channel outreach across email, LinkedIn, and calls
  • Write highly personalised messaging, no mass templates
  • Take ownership of calling, cold, warm, and follow-ups
  • Qualify leads before booking, right fit, right need, right timing
  • Build and run a consistent lead nurturing system (this is critical)
  • Maintain clean and structured CRM hygiene
  • Work across tools like Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and sequencing platforms

AI is Core to this role

We expect you to actively use AI to:

  • Speed up research and prospect understanding
  • Improve writing quality and personalisation
  • Prepare for calls and handle objections better
  • Build smarter follow-up sequences
  • Automate CRM updates and reduce manual work
  • Continuously improve outreach performance

AI is not optional here, it is how you operate at a higher level.

Who this role is for

  • You have 1 to 2 years of B2B SDR experience, or
  • You have done similar outbound, sales, or business development work

We are also open to freshers, but with a high bar.

You should:

  • Write clearly and persuasively
  • Be comfortable calling strangers, including senior decision-makers
  • Show initiative and ownership, not just interest
  • Be willing to learn fast and execute consistently

If you are experienced and looking for flexibility, and can independently generate and nurture leads, this role is open to you.

What matters is not the label, but your ability to build pipeline and convert it into business.

There will be periodic in-person meetings at a shared workspace in Anna Nagar, Chennai. These sessions are important for alignment, collaboration, and building the function together.
