Sales Development Representative (Outbound) – CPaaS

Thane, India | SDR Team | Full-time

The Impact you will create in the Job:

● You will generate qualified leads entirely through an outbound-driven approach—creating awareness, driving interest, and booking high-quality meetings for the Sales team.

● You will build a strong pipeline of Sales Qualified Opportunities by penetrating new accounts across CPaaS-relevant segments like BFSI, e-commerce, logistics, fintech, travel, and digital-native companies.

● Understand customer use-cases across SMS, voice, WhatsApp API, RCS, email, verification APIs, and omnichannel communication workflows, and map them to business pain points.

● Actively analyze and identify gaps in prospect communication, conversion patterns, and engagement strategies for continuous improvement.

● Follow up on leads, conduct deep research, identify key decision makers (Marketing, Product, Engineering, Growth), and nurture prospects through multi-touch outreach.

● Deploy a mix of high-volume cold calling (60+ dials/day), email sequences, LinkedIn/social selling, and personalized messaging strategies to maximize conversions.

● Manage all prospects, interactions, and activities inside CRM with 100% hygiene and visibility.

● Redefine outbound strategies and improve conversion rates across the SDR funnel—top-of-funnel engagement to SQL handover.

● Collaborate with Pre-Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to build messaging that resonates with CPaaS buyers across regions.

● Maintain strong metrics, meet booking targets consistently, and take complete ownership of your pipeline.

What we look for:

● Minimum 1.5 years of experience in phone-based outbound B2B sales development or inside sales, preferably in SaaS/CPaaS/MarTech/telecom-tech.

● Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to deliver clear, compelling, and personalized communication across email, phone, and social platforms.

● Strong research capability to identify ICPs, accounts, and multi-stakeholder structures.

● Strong listening and questioning skills with the ability to handle objections confidently.

● Grit to handle rejections and persistence to operate in a high-volume outbound environment.

● Experience running email drip campaigns and using tools like Outreach, Apollo, SalesLoft, or similar.

● Ability to understand basic CPaaS workflows (SMS routing, WhatsApp API, OTP/verification, voice APIs, omnichannel flows).

● Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and evolving product offerings.

● A genuine interest in growing a long-term career in Sales or Sales Development.
