Key Responsibilities
1.Sales & Enquiry Coordination
- Receive and register customer enquiries for marine equipment, spares, and services.
- Coordinate with OEMs/manufacturers for technical specifications, prices, availability, and delivery.
- Prepare and submit quotations to customers.
- Follow up on pending quotations and enquiries.
2.Order Processing
- Process purchase orders received from customers.
- Coordinate with procurement and OEMs for order placement.
- Track order confirmation, production/procurement status, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely execution of customer orders.
3.Customer Coordination
- Communicate with ship owners, ship managers, shipyards, offshore companies, and marine contractors.
- Follow up with customers regarding quotations, orders, payments, delivery, and documentation.
- Handle routine customer queries and coordinate technical issues with the appropriate department.
4.OEM & Supplier Coordination
- Obtain offers from OEMs and authorized distributors.
- Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and commercial terms where applicable.
- Maintain a database of OEMs, suppliers, products, and pricing.
- Develop relationships with new marine equipment manufacturers.
5.Logistics & Documentation
- Coordinate with logistics/shipping teams for dispatch and delivery.
- Follow up on shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates, and transport documents.
- Monitor deliveries and keep customers informed about shipment status.
6.Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Technical, Accounts and Logistics.
- Maintain proper records of enquiries, quotations, purchase orders, sales orders, and deliveries.
- Prepare regular sales and enquiry status reports.
7.Marine Industry Support
- Develop knowledge of marine equipment such as navigation equipment, communication systems, safety equipment, etc.
- Understand basic marine terminology and vessel requirements.
- Identify suitable OEMs and equivalent/replacement models based on customer requirements.
