Job Description

The Sales Compensation Junior Analyst will be responsible for managing commission operations, ensuring accurate plan administration, timely payouts, and compliance with company compensation policies. This role plays a key part in maintaining data accuracy, supporting compensation plan design, and enhancing automation processes to drive operational efficiency across global GTM teams.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation Processing & Plan Administration

  • Calculate and process monthly and quarterly commission payouts.
  • Maintain and update sales compensation tools such as Spiff, Xactly, or similar platforms.
  • Validate plan eligibility, draw recoveries, clawbacks, and SPIFF calculations.
  • Manage data updates related to sales org structure, territories, and quota adjustments.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with Sales Operations, Finance, HR, and BI teams to ensure data alignment.
  • Resolve compensation-related queries and support plan documentation and communication.

Compliance, Analysis & Reporting

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation of all compensation processes.
  • Generate reports to track compensation performance and effectiveness.
  • Support simulations and performance modeling during compensation plan design.

Operational Improvements

  • Identify automation opportunities to enhance compensation efficiency.
  • Support testing and implementation of system improvements and updates.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in sales compensation, finance operations, or sales operations, preferably in a SaaS or product-based company.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formula logic).
  • Experience with compensation management platforms (Spiff, Xactly, Anaplan, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented approach to data accuracy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, HR, or a related field.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and precision.
