About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Senior Sales & Business Development Manager to join our core team. This role is responsible for expanding the company's certification and compliance services portfolio, with a strong focus on SMETA audits and ISO certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, etc.) across PAN India.
As a senior leader in the Sales team, you will play a critical role in strategic planning, key account management, national client acquisition, and revenue generation while collaborating with internal departments to ensure delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales & Market Development
- Drive strategic initiatives to grow the certification services business (SMETA, SEDEX, ISO) in existing and new markets.
- Develop and implement PAN India sales plans, territory mapping, and sector-based outreach strategies.
- Identify emerging sectors with high demand for social compliance and management system certifications.
Key Account Acquisition & Management
- Build and manage long-term relationships with corporate clients, suppliers, manufacturers, and export houses.
- Handle enterprise-level B2B deals and negotiations with compliance, procurement, CSR, and sustainability teams.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of high-value projects, ensuring regular follow-up and closure.
Revenue & Target Ownership
- Own and exceed revenue targets for certification and audit services.
- Monitor regional and national sales performance metrics.
- Submit accurate sales forecasts and business reports to the management team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Operations, Technical, and Audit teams to ensure successful service delivery.
- Provide client feedback to internal teams to refine service offerings.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven 10+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in certification, compliance, or third-party auditing services.
- Hands-on experience in selling SMETA (SEDEX) audits and ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Strong understanding of social compliance, ethical trade, and management system certification processes.
- Experience working with Certification Bodies, Consulting Firms, or ESG/CSR departments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (knowledge of regional languages is a plus).
- Willing to travel across India for client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree or related (Master's Degree is a plus).
Work Location: PAN India any location (Kolkata Preferred)
