Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Associate role based in Bhubaneswar. The Sales Associate will welcome customers, understand their project requirements, and recommend suitable products across categories such as tiles, marbles, granites, bath ware, lighting, and other home décor solutions. Responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, preparing quotations, following up on inquiries, and supporting customers from initial consultation through purchase. The role also involves maintaining an organized and visually appealing showroom, updating product knowledge regularly, and coordinating with the internal team for inventory, orders, and deliveries. The Sales Associate will contribute to achieving individual and store sales targets while ensuring a positive, professional customer experience.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and understand client needs.
- Sales and negotiation abilities, including experience with in-store sales, upselling, and closing deals.
- Basic product knowledge or willingness to learn about marbles, granites, tiles, bath ware, lighting, and other home décor materials.
- Good communication skills in English and local languages, with clear, professional presentation.
- Attention to detail and a sense of design, color coordination, and space planning.
- Comfort with basic computer tools and the use of POS or CRM systems for billing and customer records.
- Ability to work on-site full time, including weekends or extended hours as business requires.
- Prior experience in retail, home décor, building materials, or interior-related sales is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum high school diploma; a graduate degree in business, marketing, or a related field is an advantage.
