Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Sales Application Engineer. The role involves providing technical sales support, engaging with potential and existing customers, understanding their process, identifying gaps in process, and offering solutions. The Sales Application Engineer will collaborate with various teams at customer site to ensure successful product introduction, conduct technical trials, and support proposal development and project execution. The position also requires staying updated on industry trends and identifying opportunities for growth and customer satisfaction.

This role is responsible for technical sales and application support for customer trials of fluxes, diecoats, release agents and lubricants used in high-pressure die casting (HPDC), Gravity die casting (GDC), Low-pressure die casting (LPDC) application processes for non-ferrous namely Aluminium, Zinc, Copper, Magnesium and alloys.

Experience: 4-5 years

Qualification: BE / Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering

Preferred Background: Diecasting / GDC / HPDC / LPDC / Wheel Casting/ Cast house / Alloying / Ingot casting / Recycling / Extrusion

Location: Pune / Nasik / Kolhapur / Delhi NCR / Chennai / Bengaluru / Vadodata / Ahmedabad / PAN India

Industry: Non-ferrous - Aluminium, Copper, Zinc Magnesium and alloys

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct HPDC machine trials for release agents and lubricants, Conduct Fluxes and Die coat application trials at customer sites
  • Optimize spray parameters, dilution ratios, and application techniques
  • Support customers in improving die life, surface finish, and cycle time
  • Troubleshoot die-related casting defects and recommend suitable solutions
  • Train customer operators and engineers on correct application practices
  • Work closely with R&D for customization of die coat formulations
  • Maintain detailed records of trials, outcomes, and improvements achieved
  • Support business development through technical presentations and demos
  • Optimize spray patterns, lubrication cycles, and dilution ratios
  • Support customers in reducing defects such as soldering, sticking, and porosity
  • Work closely with production teams to improve machine uptime and productivity
  • Analyze customer requirements and recommend suitable product solutions
  • Coordinate with R&D for formulation improvements and customization
  • Prepare technical reports and trial outcome documentation
  • Support key OEM and Tier-1 customers with regular technical visits

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of die coatings, molds, and surface treatments
  • Strong hands-on exposure to HPDC machines and operations
  • Sound knowledge of release agents, plunger lubricants, and spray systems
  • Understanding of die life, surface finish, and cycle optimization
  • Hands-on experience with HPDC / GDC and LPDC processes
  • Understanding of thermal behavior, die wear, soldering, and sticking issues
  • Familiarity with spray systems and die coating equipment
  • Proficiency in Sales and Sales Engineering to effectively engage with clients and drive business opportunities
  • Strong Technical Support skills for providing clients with product insights and solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to build relationships and ensure client satisfaction
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment with travel to client sites
  • Experience in non-ferrous metal or allied industries is an advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field is preferred
