Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales and Service Specialist role based in Ahmedabad. The Sales and Service Specialist will actively engage prospective and existing customers, explain rooftop solar solutions, and guide them through the entire sales cycle, from initial inquiry to closing. The role includes conducting product presentations, answering technical and commercial questions, preparing quotations, and following up on leads to achieve sales targets. On the service side, the specialist will coordinate with technical teams to ensure timely installation, handle customer queries or issues, and support ongoing maintenance and service requests. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining accurate customer records, updating the CRM, collaborating with colleagues to improve processes, and participating in training sessions to stay current on solar products, policies, and market trends.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, customer-friendly language.
- Customer service skills, including active listening, problem solving, and the ability to manage inquiries and complaints with professionalism.
- Sales skills, including lead generation, needs assessment, solution selling, negotiation, and closing.
- Experience or aptitude in sales management and training, such as supporting team performance, sharing best practices, and mentoring colleagues.
- Basic understanding of solar or renewable energy solutions, or a willingness to learn quickly through on-the-job training.
- Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad, manage time effectively, and handle field visits when required.
- Proficiency with common digital tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM systems) for tracking leads, orders, and service activities.
- Preferred: Prior experience in solar, energy, or related technical sales; a diploma or degree in business, engineering, or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory.
