Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales and Marketing Specialist role based in Telangana, India. The Sales and Marketing Specialist will drive merchant and customer acquisition, nurture relationships with existing partners, and support the growth of PhonePe's products and services in the region. Daily responsibilities include identifying and onboarding new merchants, presenting PhonePe's value proposition, and achieving sales targets through structured field activities and follow-ups. The role also involves executing local marketing initiatives, coordinating promotional campaigns, collecting market insights, and supporting brand visibility at merchant locations. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain accurate sales and pipeline reports, and provide training to merchants and field teams on PhonePe products and best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to explain digital financial products clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proven Sales experience, including merchant or customer acquisition, lead conversion, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in Sales Management or field team coordination, including planning activities, tracking performance, and reporting results.
- Ability to deliver Training and product demonstrations to merchants and internal stakeholders in an engaging and structured manner.
- Familiarity with marketing execution, such as on-ground promotions, brand visibility initiatives, and basic digital marketing concepts.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, target-driven environments with strong problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency with basic productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, CRM or sales tracking tools, mobile apps) and data-driven decision-making.
- Relevant diploma or bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field; experience in fintech, payments, or FMCG field sales is an advantage.
