Job Description

We are Hiring for Sales and Marketing Coordinator for RUDI and KAMLA, two of SEWA's leading social enterprises. This role is envisioned to drive sales growth, brand awareness, customer engagement, and business profitability across urban and rural markets.

Sales and Marketing Coordinator RUDI & KAMLA

Location:
Ahmedabad (with travel to field locations, events, exhibitions, and partner meetings)

Reporting to:
General Manager, KAMLA and Operations Lead, RUDI

Position Type:
Contractual for 1 year with a possibility for extension

About RUDI and KAMLA:

RUDI (Rura Urbanl Distribution Network) is SEWA's grassroots enterprise that procures, processes, packages, and distributes essential food items (spices, pulses, grains, etc.) under the RUDI brand. It empowers rural women (RUDIBens) to earn sustainable livelihoods through sales and distribution.

KAMLA is a women-led food production enterprise and offering a range of homestyled, nutrious food prepared and served in an eco-friendly way offering traditional cuisines which are culturally rooted from hot snacks to thalis to bakery items. It includes retail outlets, online platforms, catering services, and new initiatives like Kamla on Wheels.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Growth & Business Development
- Drive monthly and annual sales targets for both RUDI and KAMLA across physical and digital platforms.
- Identify and develop B2B partnerships (retailers, cafs, institutions, bulk buyers, corporates, SHG networks).
- Strategize and implement retail sales campaigns, festive promotions, bundling offers, and bulk discounts.
- Support expansion of Kamla on Wheels and other mobile outreach platforms.
- Assist in optimizing the performance of KAMLA outlets through customer insights and data-driven planning.

2. Branding & Communication
- Build and execute brand awareness campaigns across digital, print, community radio, exhibitions, and events.
- Coordinate with the Branding Team for social media content calendars, influencer marketing, and storytelling around products and producers.
- Ensure product packaging, signage, and merchandising are aligned with brand values and appeal to target customers.
- Drive footfall through targeted campaigns in universities, corporate parks, local markets, and fairs.

3. Marketing Operations
- Conduct regular competitor analysis and consumer research to inform pricing, positioning, and promotions.
- Maintain updated catalogues, rate cards, and marketing collaterals for RUDI and KAMLA products.
- Organize pop-ups, exhibitions, tasting events, food blogger meets, and campus activations.
- Facilitate training of RUDIBens and saleswomen in retail skills, sales pitches, and customer service.

4. Digital and E-Commerce Sales
- Grow online sales through marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart), WhatsApp commerce, and SEWA's digital platforms.
- Collaborate with the tech team to improve user experience and digital engagement.
- Track online order fulfillment, return rates, and customer satisfaction.

5. Monitoring, Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly dashboards capturing sales performance, campaign outcomes, footfall, and engagement.
- Generate customer feedback reports to inform product development and service improvements.
- Maintain lead and contact databases for B2B prospects and partners.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Rural Management, or a related field.
- 24 years of work experience in sales, marketing, or social enterprise environments.
- Experience working with grassroots or women-led enterprises will be a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of Gujarati and/or Hindi preferred.
