The Role: Sales & Marketing Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales & Marketing Specialist to join our high-growth team at GLS-SPA. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a passion for lighting and a strong desire to make a significant impact. You will be instrumental in expanding our reach, converting opportunities, and communicating the unique value proposition of our bespoke lighting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Conversion: Actively engage with warm leads generated through various channels, nurturing relationships, and successfully converting them into loyal GLS-SPA clients.
• Client Engagement & Solutions: Understand client requirements comprehensively for diverse projects (residential, retail, commercial, hospitality). This includes the ability to suggest appropriate lighting fixtures and explain the benefits of various solutions, including basic lighting concepts and automations.
• Marketing & Communication: Be a super marketing specialist for GLS-SPA, effectively communicating our brand values, product innovations, and project successes across relevant platforms.
• Technical Support & Documentation: Prepare essential documentation such as IWO (Internal Work Orders) and PI (Proforma Invoices) using Excel proficiency, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with our internal design and engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions align with technical capabilities and client expectations.
• Site & Factory Presence: This role requires you to work from our Goregaon office and conduct weekly visits to our factory in Vasai to stay updated on product development and manufacturing processes.
• Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and new technologies to identify opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales and marketing within the lighting industry is essential.
• A solid understanding of basic lighting concepts, photometry, and lighting automation systems (e.g., DALI, Casambi, DMX, Lutron).
• Demonstrated ability to convert warm leads into clients through effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex lighting solutions clearly and persuasively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data processing, reporting, and documentation (IWO, PI).
• A growth mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
