Sales and Marketing Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales & Marketing Manager to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel sales, particularly in downstream products such as cold-rolled and coated products. This role will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and will be pivotal in driving business growth and expanding our market presence. Key Responsibilities include developing and executing effective sales strategies tailored for downstream steel products. You will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new customers across various sectors including automotive, infrastructure, construction, engineering, and renewable energy. Building a robust sales pipeline and ensuring sustainable business growth will be essential. In addition to business development, you will manage key customer accounts, establishing long-term relationships and negotiating commercial terms, contracts, and pricing agreements. Achieving sales volume and revenue targets will be a critical aspect of your role, along with driving customer retention and satisfaction. Market intelligence is another key responsibility; you will analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify emerging business opportunities. You will also prepare sales forecasts and demand plans to support strategic decision-making. Collaboration is vital in this role, as you will coordinate with various internal teams including Production, Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Logistics to ensure timely order execution. Working closely with technical teams, you will provide product solutions based on customer needs and support new product development and market launches. The ideal candidate will possess a B.E/B.Tech with an MBA degree and have 10-15 years of experience in steel sales. Fluency in the local language is preferred.
