Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales and Marketing Intern role based in Chennai. The intern will support the sales team in identifying prospects, reaching out to potential clients, and assisting in follow-ups to nurture leads. Day-to-day responsibilities include helping prepare sales presentations, updating customer and lead databases, and assisting in the creation and execution of basic marketing campaigns. The role also involves responding to initial customer inquiries, gathering feedback, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth communication. The intern will participate in training sessions, learn about Lentera's software solutions, and contribute to sales reporting and market research activities.

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written interactions with internal teams and clients.
  • Customer Service capabilities, with a focus on responsiveness, empathy, and problem-solving for prospective and existing clients.
  • Interest or foundational skills in Sales, including lead generation, follow-up, and basic negotiation support.
  • Willingness to learn and assist in Training-related activities, such as product demos and internal knowledge-sharing.
  • Basic understanding or interest in Sales Management concepts, including pipeline tracking and reporting.
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Comfort using productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software) and openness to learning CRM or sales tools.
  • Ability to work on-site in Chennai, manage time effectively, and collaborate within a team-oriented environment.
