Job Description
Role Summary
Xbattery is looking for a Sales & Marketing Associate to own our dealer network and the revenue it generates, from the first conversation through post-sales warranty support. You will lead dealer negotiations, generate and convert leads, and shape how our battery packs are positioned in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pricing, margin, credit and territory discussions and negotiations with dealers and distributors.
- Onboard, manage and engage dealers through regular visits, calls, product training and incentive schemes.
- Generate leads through dealers, digital channels, solar installers, EPCs and channel partners, and follow up consistently until closure.
- Take ownership of conversion rates: track the funnel from lead to quotation to order to repeat order, and report weekly.
- Handle post-sales warranty claims by coordinating with the service and installation team, verifying claims against warranty terms and keeping resolution times short.
- Develop the marketing strategy for the current product line and for new product introductions, including positioning, collateral, dealer kits, campaigns and exhibitions.
- Gather market and competitor intelligence (pricing, features, dealer feedback) and share it with product and engineering.
Required Skills & Domain Knowledge
- Battery fundamentals: cell, module and pack; LFP vs NMC vs lead-acid; capacity (Ah/kWh), usable vs nominal capacity, DoD, SoC, SoH, C-rate, cycle life and round-trip efficiency.
- Pack components: BMS (protection, balancing, communication), contactors, fuses, thermal management, enclosure and IP rating.
- Surrounding infrastructure: inverters (off-grid, hybrid, on-grid), solar PV and MPPT, charge controllers, grid and net-metering basics, DG sets, AC/DC distribution (ACDB/DCDB), telemetry and remote monitoring.
- Sizing: ability to convert a customer's load and backup hours into a battery and inverter recommendation.
- Standards and safety: BIS/IS norms, IEC 62619, UN 38.3, AIS-156 (where relevant), thermal runaway and fire safety.
- Warranty: how cycle-based and time-based warranties work and what typically voids them (over-discharge, wrong charging profile, poor installation).
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma (engineering or business background preferred).
- 2–5 years in B2B or channel sales, preferably in batteries, inverters, solar or electrical products.
- Proven dealer management experience and a track record of meeting targets.
- Strong negotiation, communication and CRM discipline.
- Fluent in English; Telugu and Hindi preferred.
- Willingness to travel across the territory.
