Job Description
Role: Sales Intern — Cold Outreach & Lead Qualification
Location: Remote (India)
Duration: 3 months
Stipend: Unpaid
Commitment: 25 hrs/week — 5 hrs/day, Monday to Friday, fixed morning hours
Reports to: Founder's Office, FocusRealm
About FocusRealmFocusRealm is a pre-launch B2B SaaS startup building an SOP and staff-training platform for the Indian hospitality industry. We're solving one of the sector's oldest problems — inconsistent service and compliance gaps caused by high staff turnover — by giving hotels a simple, mobile-first way to digitise their operating procedures and train frontline teams. We work directly with hotel founders, GMs, and operations heads, and we're building the go-to-market engine from the ground up.
The roleYou'll be the tip of the spear on our outbound sales motion. Every morning, you'll be on calls with hotel decision-makers — GMs, F&B heads, operations leads, founders — introducing FocusRealm, qualifying interest, and booking discovery meetings for the founding team. Your output is measured in SQLs and SALs, not dials. This is a role for someone who wants to learn how a B2B SaaS pipeline is actually built, from list to booked meeting, inside a founder-led team.
What you'll do- Cold call 60–100 hotel prospects daily from prepared target lists (independent hotels, chains, resorts, hostels across India)
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads against our ICP and hand off SQL/SAL-ready accounts to the founding team
- Book discovery meetings on the founders calendars
- Log every conversation, objection, and outcome in the CRM — clean data is non-negotiable
- Refine the pitch, call script, and objection-handling playbook based on what you hear on the phone
- Share a daily end-of-shift report: dials, connects, meetings booked, notable objections
- 5 hours/day, Monday–Friday, morning slot (exact window confirmed on offer)
- 25 hours/week, no flex — hotels answer their phones in the morning, so consistency matters
- Weekends off
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's/Master's degree (any discipline)
- Comfortable making 60+ cold calls a day without losing energy
- Clear spoken English + Hindi; a third Indian language is a plus
- Coachable, thick-skinned, and self-directed — you shouldn't need daily hand-holding
- Genuinely curious about how B2B sales, SaaS, or hospitality work
- Own laptop, reliable internet, quiet workspace, and a working phone/headset
- Prior cold-calling, tele-calling, or BD experience (any industry)
- Any exposure to the hospitality industry
- Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or Google Workspace
- A real portfolio of booked meetings and closed conversations — not a certificate
- Hands-on training in B2B SaaS sales fundamentals: ICP, qualification frameworks (BANT/MEDDIC), pipeline hygiene, discovery
- Direct exposure to the founders and how a pre-launch startup builds its GTM engine
- Certificate of completion + Letter of Recommendation for interns who hit their targets
- First right of refusal on a paid role post-internship for top performers
