Job Description

Location: Chennai (Factory-based role)

Reporting to: Managing Director / CEO

Role Overview

The Sales & Operations Head will be responsible for managing sales execution, customer relationships, service coordination, and internal operational alignment. The role requires strong experience in packaging machinery or industrial equipment and the ability to manage both commercial discussions and operational coordination from the factory.

The candidate will work closely with the production team, service engineers, and customers to ensure smooth order execution, timely deliveries, and strong customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Management

  • Handle key client enquiries and technical discussions for packaging machines (VFFS, HFFS, Flow Wrap, PFS, Filling systems).
  • Review and finalize techno-commercial quotations.
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with customers.
  • Convert incoming leads into confirmed orders.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with existing customers and distributors.

Sales Pipeline & CRM

  • Monitor all enquiries and leads in the CRM system.
  • Ensure timely quotation preparation and follow-ups.
  • Track enquiry-to-order conversion and maintain pipeline visibility.

Operations Coordination

  • Coordinate between sales, production, and dispatch teams.
  • Ensure smooth communication between customers and factory teams.
  • Track machine delivery timelines and update customers.

Service Coordination

  • Coordinate installation and service support activities.
  • Manage communication between customers and service engineers.
  • Ensure timely resolution of service requests.

Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with the production manager to align delivery commitments.
  • Monitor order progress and ensure smooth execution.

Preferred Background

  • Experience in packaging machinery / industrial automation / manufacturing industry.
  • Prior experience in a packaging machine manufacturing company is highly preferred.
  • 510 years experience in sales, operations, or techno-commercial roles.
