Job Description

CTC: Rs 30,000/- to Rs 40,000/- per month.

Location: Nungambakkam, Chennai

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 10 am to 7 pm

Festivals From India is hiring on behalf of their client, ASIGN, for a Sales & Adoption Specialist in Chennai, who will help them grow ASIGN's presence across the art ecosystem.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys talking to people, discovering opportunities, building relationships, and getting things done. You will work directly with artists, galleries, collectors, clients, and internal teams to drive platform adoption and create opportunities for art sales.

Please note:

  1. The vetting process for this role comprises 2-3 rounds of interviews and may be followed by a brief assignment.

  3. This is an on-site, full-time position based in Chennai.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Literature, Mass Communication, Business, Art History, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional experience may be considered in place of a directly related degree.
  • Experience or a portfolio demonstrating work in sales, content, research, art, culture, or client-facing roles will be an advantage.

Essential Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, client servicing, project management, partnerships, art, galleries, cultural organisations, or a related field.
  • Experience working with artists, galleries, collectors, luxury brands, design, interiors, or other creative industries will be an advantage.
  • Experience in a startup or entrepreneurial environment is a plus.

Key Personal Attributes & Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong research and information-verification skills.
  • Good understanding of sales and lead-generation processes.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Excel or Google Sheets, CRM systems, and project-management/tracking tools.
  • Comfortable learning new software platforms and digital tools.
  • Ability to maintain accurate databases and structured information.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines independently.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Identify and approach potential artists, galleries, collectors, institutions, and clients who could benefit from Asign.
  • Introduce artists and galleries to the Asign platform and demonstrate its value to their businesses.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with artists, galleries, collectors, and prospective clients.
  • Work closely with marketing to generate new enquiries and qualified leads for art sales through outreach, networking, research, referrals, and existing relationships.
  • Follow up on leads and enquiries and help move them through the sales pipeline.
  • Understand client requirements and identify relevant artists and artworks from the Asign ecosystem.
  • Maintain accurate CRM and sales pipeline information and provide regular updates on opportunities and conversions.
  • Work directly with artists and galleries to collect artwork information, images, artist biographies, exhibition histories, and other relevant material.
  • Verify artwork details, dates, mediums, dimensions, provenance, exhibitions, gallery representation, and other relevant information before publication.
  • Compile and organise information into high-quality digital catalogues and artist profiles.
  • Keep track of conversations, follow-ups, opportunities, and partnership discussions.
  • Continuously improve and expand the Asign artist registry
