SailPoint Engineer/Architect (Contract 12 Months)

Start Date: February/March 2026

Contract Type: Contractor / Self-Employed

Location: Remote

Working Hours: European business hours

Availability: Immediate or within 1 month (longer notice periods cannot be considered)

Mandatory Certification: SailPoint IIQ Certified

We are engaging experienced SailPoint Engineers and SailPoint Architects/SMEs for a long-term contractor engagement starting February/March 2026. This role supports enterprise-scale IAM programmes across Europe, with a strong focus on SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) engineering, architecture, and strategic identity and access management transformation.

This is a remote-first contract, however candidates must be available to work European business hours consistently.

Key Responsibilities

SailPoint Engineer (6+ years)

  • Design, configure, and support SailPoint IdentityIQ deployments in complex enterprise environments
  • Implement provisioning, governance, role-based access, compliance, and identity lifecycle processes
  • Integrate IIQ with HR systems, applications, cloud platforms, and directories (Active Directory, LDAP, SAP, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, performance tuning, and version upgrades
  • Automate identity workflows using IIQ rules, Beanshell, XML, and REST APIs
  • Collaborate with IAM, security operations, and business teams across multiple regions

SailPoint Architect / SME (8+ years)

  • Own end-to-end IAM architecture and strategy with SailPoint IdentityIQ
  • Lead design decisions for complex enterprise IAM deployments, including hybrid and cloud integrations
  • Serve as subject matter expert for IIQ integrations with HR, ERP, cloud, and security platforms
  • Define IAM standards, policies, and governance models aligned with compliance requirements
  • Provide technical leadership, architecture reviews, and strategic advisory to stakeholders
  • Support audits, compliance initiatives, and enterprise security program alignment

Required Skills & Experience

  • SailPoint Engineer: 6+ years hands-on IIQ experience
  • SailPoint Architect / SME: 8+ years IIQ-focused experience
  • Deep expertise in SailPoint IdentityIQ modules: Provisioning, Compliance, Role Management, Access Reviews, Password Management
  • Strong understanding of IAM, identity governance, and enterprise security architecture
  • Experience integrating IIQ with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise systems (HR, ERP, directories)
  • Scripting and automation experience (Beanshell, XML, REST APIs, PowerShell)
  • Experience working in global, distributed teams

Certifications (Mandatory)

  • SailPoint IIQ Certified (essential)
  • Additional IAM or security certifications are a strong plus

Contract & Availability Requirements

  • Contractor / Self-Employed engagement only
  • Must be able to start immediately or within 1 month
  • Fully remote role, based in India
  • Must work European business hours
