Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chef role based in Sagri. The Chef will plan and prepare high-quality dishes in line with Yash Foods standards and brand-specific menus, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning. Daily responsibilities include organizing the kitchen workstation, supervising food preparation, coordinating with kitchen staff, managing inventory and procurement of ingredients, and monitoring food safety and hygiene practices. The role also involves collaborating with management on menu development, adapting dishes based on seasonal availability, training junior staff, and supporting efficient kitchen operations during peak service hours.
Qualifications
- Culinary skills: Strong expertise in cooking techniques, menu execution, and food presentation, preferably with experience in multicuisine or Indian, South Indian, and Chinese styles.
- Kitchen operations: Ability to manage a professional kitchen, including inventory control, portion management, quality checks, and coordination with service staff.
- Food safety and hygiene: Solid understanding of food safety standards, kitchen sanitation, and safe handling and storage of ingredients.
- Teamwork and leadership: Experience supervising or mentoring kitchen staff, with the ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive, efficient work environment.
- Time management and organization: Capacity to handle multiple orders, prioritize tasks, and perform effectively under pressure during busy service periods.
- Communication and customer focus: Clear communication skills and a commitment to delivering consistent, guest-focused dining experiences.
- Education and experience: Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management is preferred; prior experience as a Chef or in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly beneficial.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
