Position Safety Supervisor

This position reports to Project HSE Manager/Corporate HSE Manager

Basic Qualification Engineering Degree in any branch.

Additional Qualification

required

Training in Safety related courses such as NIBOSH, IOSH, OHSA

and Camp Inspection certification (Saudi Aramco approved Third

Party)

Awareness in ISO 45001 standards

Minimum 7 years experience in Oil and Gas Industries & camp

related documentation and inspection

Good knowledge in computer applications

Capable to conduct Safety Presentations with the aid of power

point

Capable to provide Safety Training to the employees

Capable to prepare Safety documents.

Preferably Saudi Aramco approved for at least two projects.

Authority:

 To stop any work that may risk damage to property or harm life.

Responsibilities:

 Responsible for monitoring the adherence of all to the Company Safety System at the site,

meeting the Company's obligations and the Client's needs and expectations, first time, on

time. Reporting to the Project HSE Manager/Corporate HSE Manager.

 Ensure that all current Company Safety System policies and procedures are known,

understood and adhered to by all MRK staff at site.

 Co-ordinate preparation of site Safety Procedures in liaison with the Project HSE

Manager/Corporate HSE Manager and/or Project Manager and verify its issue and

implementation.

 Implement and maintain a coordinated and consistent Safety filing system at the site and

camp.

 Ensure direct, effective and timely communications of requests for action, responses to

requests, routine reporting and important information to the Safety manager and Project

Manager.

 Investigation of all accidents and incidents and for production of accident reports in a

timely manner.

 Maintenance of safety statistics such as RDI, IDI, LTIF etc.

 Implement HSE Department reporting procedures per the Company HSE System and

conduct routine meetings, reporting to the Project HSE Manager/Corporate HSE Manager.

 Adhere to Company HSE System and policies and procedures.

 Implement and maintain an orderly Safety office layout at site.

 Conduct Safety System audit at site/Camp inspection as per Attachment – J of Saudi

Aramco Camp Inspection requirement.

 To advise the project and other line managers on the Implementation of the safety plan,

providing the necessary statistical information.

 To intervene where necessary to correct unsafe working practice. To monitor compliance

with the permit to work systems.

 To contribute to the site safety training program.

 To conduct Presentations in Client's monthly Safety Meetings as necessary.

 To investigate and report on all LWC's and other incidents.

 To enforce the safety recommendations of the client and to ensure a safe working

atmosphere.

 To study and assess the risk involved, jointly with the project HSE manager, supervisors

and engineers and implement the required precautionary measures.

 To conduct weekly and monthly safety meetings at the job site to apprehend the

employees of safety objectives, their roll in implementation.

 Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
