Description
We are looking for a dedicated Safety Officer to join our team in Kuwait. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by implementing and monitoring safety regulations and practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of safety standards and have a proven track record in promoting workplace safety.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the workplace.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Train employees on safety practices and emergency procedures.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain safety records and documentation in compliance with legal requirements.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices regarding workplace safety.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 5-6 years of experience in a safety officer role or similar position.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in India, including the Factories Act, 1948, and other relevant legislation.
- Certification in safety management or occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and implement effective safety measures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and engaging with employees.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
