Job Description
. Serve as the appointed Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) and Fire Safety Manager (FSM) to ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, Fire Safety Act and all relevant regulations.
. Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, implement fire emergency response plans including conducting regular fire drills and inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure that corrective actions are taken.
. Assist in developing and monitoring Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programme and policies.
. Ensure all work activities comply with local WSH regulations, including managing safety training and certification for all personnel.
. Coordinate and oversee external vendor / contractor management to ensure products and services provided complies to internal and regulatory safety requirements.
. Investigate work place accidents, incidents and near misses. Compile reports and recommend effective and sustainable preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
. Plan and conduct internal and external audits as per statutory requirements (i.e. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001)
. Monitoring and implementation of EHS work plan to achieve the intended objectives.
. Plan and coordinate Industrial Health Monitoring reports.
. Review and update of EHS documents
. Coordinate and conduct EHS Safety Committee meeting.
. Coordinate and support EHS Team Lead on EHS Management Review meeting
. Ensure all relevant EHS documentations are maintained and updated for retrieval as and when required.
. Promote and drive safety awareness programs to foster a strong safety culture within the organization.
. All other ad-hoc duties as inform by Management.
Job Requirements
. Minimum a Diploma in an engineering or equivalent field.
. Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with Ministry of Manpower(MOM)
. Must be a registered Fire Safety Manager with Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF)
. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Management Systems and local WSH and Fire Safety regulations
. Ability to use relevant Microsoft applications for report writing, documents updates, analysis and develop EHS related contents.
. Excellent team spirit, strong technical competence, good negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
. Candidates with Noise Control Officer (NCO) Qualification will be an added advantage.
. Candidates with Environmental Control Officer (ECO) Qualification will be an added advantage.
