Safety Officer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Safety Officer role based in Gurugram. The Safety Officer will monitor workplace conditions, conduct regular safety inspections, and ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and security regulations and company policies. Responsibilities include identifying hazards, supporting risk assessments, and leading or assisting in accident investigations to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. The role involves planning and delivering safety training sessions, maintaining safety records and reports, and coordinating with management and teams to promote a strong safety culture. The Safety Officer will also collaborate with security and operational staff to implement preventive measures and respond to emergencies or incidents in a timely, organized manner.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices and Occupational Health principles, with the ability to apply them in daily operations.
• Experience in Accident Investigation, including root cause analysis, documentation, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Understanding of Security procedures and protocols to support safe and secure work environments.
• Ability to design and deliver Safety Training programs tailored to different levels of staff and operational needs.
• Relevant certification or diploma in occupational health and safety, environmental health, or a related field (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable local and national safety regulations and standards, with experience in compliance audits or inspections.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse teams on safety matters.
• Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to prepare clear reports and documentation.
• Prior experience in a safety or EHS role within services, facilities management, industrial, or corporate environments is an advantage.
