Role & Responsibilities:
Site Safety Management
- Implement project HSE plans, safety procedures, and safe work practices at site.
- Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, factory rules, permit systems, and pharmaceutical EHS standards.
- Conduct daily safety surveillance across all project areas.
- Ensure safe execution of civil works, structural works, equipment installation, utility tie-ins, shutdown, and startup activities.
Brownfield Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with working inside live operating plant environments.
- Ensure safe segregation between construction zones and production/GMP areas.
- Manage risks related to hot work near live utilities, chemical exposure, confined space entry, electrical tie-ins, and work at height in operational facilities.
Permit & Contractor Management
- Control and monitor Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
- Ensure contractor safety compliance and adherence to safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits at site.
Incident & Emergency Management
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe acts.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of safety incidents.
- Support emergency preparedness and response activities at site.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with project, engineering, and operations teams for safe execution of activities.
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
- Conduct safety inductions, training, and awareness sessions for workers.
