Role DescriptionSAFETY MANAGER

Experience: 12–15+ years

Role Purpose

Lead the project's Health, Safety and Environment programme, with particular focus on heavy lifting, work at height, excavation, stone handling and CNC operations.

Key Responsibilities

● Establish project HSE plan.

● Develop risk assessments and method statements.

● Control high-risk construction activities.

● Supervise crane and lifting safety.

● Manage work-at-height safety.

● Control excavation and foundation risks.

● Establish permit-to-work systems.

● Conduct toolbox talks.

● Train workers and contractors.

● Conduct safety audits.

● Investigate incidents and near misses.

● Maintain emergency response systems.

● Coordinate site medical and emergency arrangements.

Qualification

Degree/Diploma in Safety Engineering / Civil / Mechanical with recognised HSE qualification.

KPIs

● Zero fatality.

● Reduction in incidents.

● Safety audit compliance.

● Training completion.

● Closure of safety observations.

● Emergency preparedness.

Profile

Senior construction HSE professional with proven experience in large projects involving heavy lifting, cranes, work at height, large stone blocks and complex construction operations.
