Main Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System.
- Ensure compliance with all SAR safety requirements, contract specifications, statutory regulations, and company HSE procedures.
- Prepare and implement project-specific HSE plans, emergency response procedures, and safety programs.
- Monitor all maintenance activities including track works, structures maintenance, workshop operations, and equipment usage to ensure safe execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety assessments across all project locations.
- Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement appropriate control measures.
- Review and approve Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Permit-to-Work systems.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Monitor HSE performance indicators and prepare periodic safety reports for Project Management and SAR.
- Conduct HSE induction, training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for all project personnel.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with safety procedures.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response plans.
- Liaise with SAR representatives and regulatory authorities regarding HSE matters.
- Support implementation of environmental management practices, including waste management, pollution prevention, and environmental compliance.
- Promote continuous improvement of HSE performance and foster a positive safety culture throughout the project.
- Ensure all subcontractors and suppliers comply with project HSE requirements.

- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance and maintain a productive work environment.
- Implement and uphold safety and security protocols to protect the well-being of all employees and company assets.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the team and overall business objectives.

Required Academic Qualification
- Qualification
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.

- NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent.
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor certification is desirable.
- Additional railway safety certification is an advantage.
- Years of Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental management.
- Experience in large railway, infrastructure, and maintenance projects.
- Proven experience managing HSE systems for multidisciplinary maintenance operations.
