Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend measures to mitigate risks in the workplace.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to enhance workplace safety.
  • Provide safety training and education to employees on best practices and compliance standards.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including reports, logs, and safety manuals.
  • Coordinate with various departments to foster a culture of safety across the organization.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 3-10 years of experience in safety engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards in India, such as OSHA and IS 14489.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment and hazard analysis techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to conduct training sessions and workshops on safety practices.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
