Roles And Responsibilities Of Junior Safety Engineer/Safety Engineer
- Implement and monitor the EHS management system at project sites.
- Prepare, implement, and follow the EHS plan at project sites.
- Interacting with all site teams to ensure that all EHS rules and regulations are
followed at work locations at project sites.
- Reporting to the safety head or project head about site EHS issues.
- Conduct and highlight the requirement of safety through toolbox/ pep talk.
- Implement and monitor the Permit to Work System.
- Implement and Monitor the Safe Work System.
- Conduct promotional and awareness program at the workplace.
- Reporting of incident, accident, near misses, dangerous occurrences to the safety
head or project head.
- Participate and assist in the incident investigation and risk assessment program.
- Regularly inspecting work areas, equipment and processes to ensure compliance
with safety regulations.
- Conduct first-day safety induction for the new workers and staff and maintain
records.
- Ensuring adequate PPE's and safety equipment as required are available.
- Conduct and participate in campaign competitions and other special emphasis
programs to promote safety in the workplace.
- Prepare the monthly calendar and conduct the EHS training as per plan.
- Prepare and maintain the various EHS documents.
- Inspect the equipment, tools, and machinery as per the checklist and maintain the
records.
