Description
We are seeking an experienced Safety Engineer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees by developing and implementing effective safety policies and procedures. The Safety Engineer will work closely with various departments to promote a culture of safety and compliance within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and awareness programs for all employees to promote a culture of safety.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and prepare reports with recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
- Stay updated on safety regulations and best practices to ensure the organization remains compliant.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including safety manuals, reports, and records.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in safety engineering or a related role.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and practices in India.
- Proficient in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with safety management systems (SMS) and tools.
