About the Role
We are looking for experienced Rust Developers to contribute to annotation and RLHF initiatives focused on systems programming, safety-critical software, and high-performance backends. In this role, you will review and annotate real-world Rust codebases, analyze patches and pull requests, execute and interpret tests, and provide structured human feedback on correctness, ownership and borrowing semantics, concurrency, and system behavior. Your expertise will help train AI models to reason accurately about Rust's safety guarantees, memory management, and concurrent execution patterns.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and annotate Rust code, patches, and pull requests for RLHF and AI training datasets
- Evaluate implementations for correctness, edge cases, and long-term maintainability
- Annotate differences between correct and incorrect code, identifying logic errors, borrow checker violations, and design flaws
- Analyze ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, and mutability patterns for memory safety and correctness
- Review concurrent and asynchronous code using threads, async/await, futures, and synchronization primitives
- Ensure annotations are accurate, consistent, and aligned with defined quality and reasoning guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience
- 14 years of hands-on experience with Rust in production or systems-level environments
- Strong understanding of Rust fundamentals including ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, and trait-based design
- Experience with concurrent and asynchronous programming in Rust
- Familiarity with Rust testing practices including unit tests, integration tests, and benchmarking
- Proficiency with debugging tools and techniques for Rust codebases
- Experience working with Cargo, Rust tooling, and build workflows
- Strong analytical, reasoning, and written communication skills for producing high-quality annotations.
