Position: Rural Immersion Project Head

Location: Noida

Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

The Rural Immersion Project Head will lead the planning, execution, and expansion of U-Turn4Nature's Rural Immersion Program and community development initiatives. The role requires building strong partnerships with universities, management institutes, colleges, corporations, SHGs, FPOs, cooperatives, and development organizations to create meaningful rural engagement opportunities.

The position combines project leadership, stakeholder management, program development, and impact creation, ensuring that students, corporate professionals, and development partners gain first-hand exposure to rural entrepreneurship, women-led enterprises, and sustainable livelihood models.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Development & Management
  • Design, implement, and scale Rural Immersion Programs for students, academic institutions, corporate teams, and development professionals.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and monitoring frameworks.
  • Ensure successful execution of field visits, rural exposure programs, and community engagement activities.
  • Monitor project outcomes and prepare impact assessment reports.
Partnership Development
  • Build and manage relationships with universities, management institutes, colleges, CSR foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
  • Establish partnerships for student immersion programs, internships, live projects, and research collaborations.
  • Identify opportunities for CSR-supported rural development and livelihood projects.
Community Engagement
  • Work closely with SHGs, Women Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), cooperatives, and rural entrepreneurs.
  • Facilitate community participation and strengthen local institutional capacities.
  • Support women-led enterprises in improving market readiness and business sustainability.
Stakeholder Management
  • Coordinate with government departments, NRLM officials, CSR teams, academic institutions, and development partners.
  • Represent U-Turn4Nature at conferences, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Maintain strong communication channels with all project stakeholders.
Strategy & Impact
  • Develop strategies to expand the Rural Immersion Program nationally.
  • Track key performance indicators and social impact metrics.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and reports for partners and funding organizations.
  • Contribute to organizational growth and long-term sustainability.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Rural Management, Development Studies, Social Work, Public Policy, Agriculture, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in project management, rural development, community engagement, CSR, or livelihood promotion.
  • Experience working with SHGs, FPOs, cooperatives, NRLM, or community-based organizations.
  • Strong understanding of rural development ecosystems and women empowerment initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to rural locations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in managing Rural Immersion Programs, exposure visits, field-learning programs, or experiential learning initiatives.
  • Existing network with universities, management institutes, CSR foundations, and development sector organizations.
  • Experience in proposal writing, fundraising, CSR partnerships, or impact reporting.
  • Familiarity with social enterprise models and sustainable livelihood programs.
