What is expected out of you

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and designers
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
• Implement background jobs, caching, and database optimizations
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
• Contribute to architectural decisions and system design discussions

Experience Level: Mid-Level – Ruby on Rails Developer with 4 to 6 years of experience in Ruby, Rails framework, and MVC architecture.

Requirements:

Must have skills

• 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails development
• Strong understanding of Ruby, Rails framework, and MVC architecture
• Experience with REST APIs and API integrations
• Proficiency in database design (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
• Experience with background job processing (Sidekiq/Resque)
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems
• Knowledge of RSpec or similar testing frameworks
• Understanding of caching mechanisms (Redis/Memcached)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Good to have skills

• Experience with frontend frameworks (React.js)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of microservices architecture
• Experience with GraphQL / Elasticsearch
• Understanding of security best practices and performance tuning
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
