Experience: 3+ Years
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain RESTful / GraphQL APIs in Ruby on Rails.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code that follows best practices.
- Optimise application performance, security, and scalability.
- Model complex business domains in PostgreSQL/MySQL using ActiveRecord.
- Design and tune schemas, indexes, and queries for high throughput and low latency.
- Conduct peer reviews and enforce coding standards via automated CI pipelines.
- Good hold of AWS on deployment, debugging & monitoring.
- Monitor, debug, and resolve production issues with tools like New Relic, Datadog, or Sentry.
- Work closely with Product, Design, and Front-End teams to ship features end-to-end.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Ruby on Rails (v6/7) with hands-on experience in SaaS or multi-tenant applications.
- Strong understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns like MVC, service objects, and decorators.
- Skilled in SQL with experience using PostgreSQL features such as JSONB and partial indexes.
- Experienced in building REST and GraphQL APIs with versioning, pagination, and OAuth2/JWT authentication.
- Familiar with Git (GitFlow) and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub or GitLab.
- Practical knowledge of AWS services like EC2, ECS, S3, and RDS for deployment and scaling.
- Able to collaborate with frontend teams using JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS, and frameworks like React or Vue.
