Ruby on Rails Developer

Job description

• Work closely with product leadership to help develop and fully understand, product requirements
• Develop all portions of a Ruby on Rails-based web application, including front-end JavaScript and CSS components
• Maintaining and troubleshooting existing web applications
• Integrating data storage solutions
• Design data models and write efficient queries in MySQL
• Creating back-end components
• Expand and improve the API, thoughtfully to minimize versioning turmoil
• Collaborate on architectural decisions with an eye toward future flexibility
• 4 years of professional experience as a full stack ROR developer
• Experience in ruby on rails framework as well as libraries
• Knowledge in Acumatica cloud-based ERP system is added advantage
• Substantial experience working with APIs (building, integrating with)
• Solid understanding of RESTful systems and the principles of good API design
• Knowledge in SSO Sign-on concepts and implementation
• Proficiency with code versioning tools including Git, Github and SVN
• Experience in cloud technology and hosting
• Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery
• Exposure to working with databases, data pipelines and distributed data at scale
• Good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3
