Rubrik Backup & Recovery Engineer

Responsibilities :

Architect, implement, and optimize Rubrik-based backup and recovery solutions for enterprise workloads aligned to RPO/RTO targets.

Lead end-to-end backup operations including policy design, scheduling, retention, replication, and lifecycle management.

Own recovery readiness by planning and executing restore tests, disaster recovery validations, and recovery runbooks with stakeholders.

Troubleshoot complex backup/restore failures, performance issues, and data protection gaps drive root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.

Establish and maintain standards for backup governance, naming conventions, access controls, and audit-ready reporting.

Partner with application, virtualization, storage, and security teams to onboard new workloads and ensure consistent protection coverage.

Monitor platform health, capacity, and job success metrics proactively tune configurations to improve reliability and reduce operational noise.

Drive continuous improvement through documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentoring of junior engineers and operations teams.
