Job Purpose

Job Description - Training Manager (DSF)

1. Job Purpose

The Training Manager (DSF) is responsible for enhancing the capability and productivity of DSEs and Sales Managers through structured training interventions. The role focuses on improving sales effectiveness, renewal performance, and overall business outcomes by delivering high-impact training programs and continuously upgrading the skills of the sales force.


2. Key Responsibilities

A. Training Delivery & Capability Building

  • Design and deliver induction and ongoing training programs for FLS and Branch Managers

  • Conduct regular classroom and field-based training sessions to improve sales skills and product knowledge
  • Ensure training interventions align with business targets and productivity goals
  • Drive improvement in certification metrics and pass percentages

B. Training Planning & Execution

  • Implement the organization's Training Architecture across assigned regions
  • Plan and execute a monthly training calendar with a minimum of 12 training man-days
  • Ensure timely completion of all training modules, reporting, and documentation (STMS and other systems)
  • Identify skill gaps and customize training content based on business needs

C. Business Impact & Productivity

  • Create measurable impact on frontline productivity and sales performance
  • Conduct periodic assessments to evaluate knowledge levels and training effectiveness
  • Collaborate with sales teams to align training priorities with business objectives
  • Drive improvements in renewal ratios, persistency, and conversion metrics

D. Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with Sales Managers, Business Heads, and other stakeholders to ensure training effectiveness
  • Work closely with operations and service teams to support seamless product delivery
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external training partners

E. Training Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Introduce innovative training solutions, including digital and blended learning approaches
  • Continuously evaluate and improve training methodologies based on feedback and performance outcomes
  • Anticipate future capability requirements and proactively design learning interventions

3. Key Challenges

  • Ensuring consistent trainee participation, especially advisors who are not on company payroll
  • Managing training delivery across multiple branches and geographically dispersed teams
  • Addressing infrastructure limitations and availability of training resources
  • Creating measurable impact in a high-volume, performance-driven environment

  • Improvement in sales productivity and business performance
  • Training completion and adherence to the monthly calendar
  • Certification rates and pass percentages
  • Increased advisor activation and retention
  • Measurable improvement in persistency and renewal performance
