Job Description

Position: RPGLE Developer

Experience: 4-10 Years

Work Location: Noida / Pune / Bangalore

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using RPGLE, ILE RPG, CLP, and DB2 on IBM i (AS/400) platform.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform application support, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning.
Develop and modify database files, stored procedures, and reports.
Work closely with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
Support production deployments and provide post-implementation assistance.

Required Skills

Strong experience in RPGLE, ILE RPG, Free Format RPG, CLLE, and DB2/400.
Good understanding of IBM i (AS/400) environment.
Experience in application maintenance, enhancements, and production support.
Knowledge of SQL, embedded SQL, and database design concepts.
Experience with debugging, performance optimization, and incident resolution.
Understanding of SDLC, change management, and version control processes.

Preferred Skills

Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or Retail domains.
Exposure to APIs, web services, and application integration.
Knowledge of Aldon, TurnOver, or other IBM i change management tools.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
